The prestigious Paris Motor Show 2012, is a showcase for new and advance technology, designed and engineered all round the world. The Mondial de l’Automobile Show 2012 will start from 29th September 2012 and ends on 14th October 2012. Chevrolet on this much awaited world premiere Auto Expo, showcasing all-new compact Crossover – the Chevrolet Trax, a fresh look variant of the famous Chevrolet Spark and Chevrolet 2 stylish youth Concept Cars- the Chevrolet CODE 130R and Chevrolet TRU 140S, with great commitment to deliver high quality standards and services in European Auto Market.
Chevrolet new compact Crossover, Trax, will be launched in 140 countries but will not delivered to U.S. Market due to the patent issue with Buick Encore in U.S. The new Trax, starts its launch from Mexico by the end of current year and then it will be launched in other countries except U.S. On the scale of efficiency, comfort and flexiblity, Chevrolet promises for Trax to deleiver new standards as compact CUV. Also the Manchester United-themed based edition of the Trax will show a powerful support of Chevrolet’s recently launched commitment to global football. Trax is advanced and versatile yet fuel-efficient small SUV, offering car-like handling and All-Wheel drive.
The engine will range from 1.4 Litre turbocharged gasoline unit, a 1.6 Litre gasoline engine to a 1.7 Litre turbo-diesel engine. The 1.4 Litre turbo gasoline engine will be 6-speed manual transmission, delivers a horsepower of 140[ i.e. 103 kiloWatts] and generates a top torque of 200 Nm. The All-wheel drive system is available on variants that come with the 1.4 Litre turbo gasoline or the 1.7 Litre diesel engine. The 1.7 Litre diesel engine will generates a horsepower of 130[ i.e. 96 kiloWatts] and a top torque of 300 Nm. All power-trains with manual transmission come with Start/Stop functionality. Both the 1.7L diesel and the 1.4L* turbo gasoline engine will also be launched with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
On the Concept Car segment, at Paris Motor Show 2012, Chevrolet will showcase the stylish concept models which are also known as Youth Concepts of Chevrolet – the Chevrolet CODE 130R and TRU 140S.
At Detroit Motor Show in U.S., the CODE 130R is showcased which is inspired by BMW 2002 and Datsun 510, it has 4 cylinder 1400 CC Engine which is capable of generating a horsepower of 150[i.e. 110.32 kiloWatts] and a torque of 200.66 Nm.[i.e. 148 lb.-ft.]. Equipped with Rear-wheel driving platform, the 130R is loaded with GM’s eAssist – the electric assist system adds in more engine power, delivers regenerative braking and allows engine auto start/stop. Equipped with 6-speed automatic or manual transmission with 20-inch wheels and boasted a mileage of 40 mpg on highway.
On the other hand, the Tru 140S is inspired by Chevrolet Cruze, a more sportier and 3-door lift-back style hatchback and equipped with turbo charged engine with scaled up horsepower of 150 and feature of auto start/stop. Equipped with Front-wheel driving platform, it has both 6-speed automatic and manual transmission with 21-inch front wheels and boasted a mileage of 40 mpg highway as well.
Also the top selling car of Chevrolet, Spark, will be showcased in more sportier and stylish form at Paris Motor Show 2012. The Spark is powered by a 1.0 Litre with 68 horsepower or 1.2 Litre with 82 horsepower gasoline engine. Both engines has a estimated mileage of 20 kilometers/liter on a combined cycle, while CO2 emissions average 118 grams/km.
