Chrysler Corporation was established in 1924 by the eminent engineer and businessman Walter Chrysler as a result of reorganization of the two American companies. In the end of the seventies the ill- conceived policy of the company drove it to the loss of control of the European division and brought about a threat of bankruptcy. The situation has been improved as the company had been saved by Lee Jakokka – one of the top managers of the Ford Company. Jakokka has abandoned Ford for its competitors and saved Chrysler in the truest sense of the word.
